chilli deviled eggs

This Asian - inspired recipe will bring an elegant twist to your party. The creamy texture and scrumptious flavors from the heat of the chilli paste, the mildness of the egg yolk and the fresh scallions will delight your guests. Easy to prepare and highly versatile and delicious, chilli devilled eggs is a recipe you will be make year round.

Ingredients

12 hard-boiled eggs, peeled
4 tablespoons mayonnaise
1-2 tablespoons chilli/chili shrimp paste
salt and ground white pepper
2 spring onions/scallions
1 teaspoon black sesame seeds

Directions

Halve the eggs lengthwise and remove the yolks. Put the yolks in a bowl and break them up with a fork.

Mix in the mayonnaise and chilli/chili shrimp paste to taste. Season with salt and white pepper. When smooth, either spoon back into the eggs or pipe with a star-shaped nozzle, if you have one.

Sprinkle over the sliced spring onions/scallions and black sesame seeds and serve.
