Emerald Isle Vodka Gimlet

This pretty and dainty cocktail with a hint of citrus will dazzle your guests at your next party. Its jewel-like emerald color makes this a perfect cocktail for St. Patrick's Day. Cheers!

                                                                     Emerald Isle Vodka Gimlet

Ingredients

for the rim

honey simple syrup (2 parts honey, 1 part water)

light green sanding sugar

for the cocktail

4 oz. vodka

1 1/2 oz. freshly squeezed lime juice

1 oz. simple syrup (one part sugar, one part water)

Directions

Chill cocktail glasses. 

Pour one ounce honey simple syrup into a small shallow bowl. On a plate, place light green sanding sugar. Dip the rim of the chilled cocktail glasses in the honey simple syrup and then dip them in the sanding sugar.

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the vodka, lime juice, and simple syrup. Shake vigorously and strain into the prepared cocktail glasses.
