Dreaming of Warmer Temperatures and the Tropics with a Passionfruit Margarita


With temperatures still at the freezing point and snow on the way, one can always dream of warmer temperatures, palm trees and a tropical drink. The tropical flavors of the Passionfruit Margarita makes dreaming of warm breezes and sandy beaches seem possible.

Ingredients
2 lime wedges
1 tablespoons kosher salt
1/2 cup passionfruit nectar
1 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
2 ounces gold tequila
1 ounce Cointreau

Moisten the outer rim of a chilled margarita glass of the lime wedge. Spread the salt on a shallow plate and dip the glass in the salt, covering it with a light band. Set the glass aside.

Combine all the ingredients except the remaining lime wedge. Pour into the prepared glass and garnish with a lime wedge. 
  
Perfect ending to a long cold day!
