Greek Braised Beef Stew

Crock pot cooking is convenient, saves time and renders the most flavorful meals. On a chilly day, Greek Braised Beef Stew is a delicious crock pot meal to come home to after a long day of work. The beef is tender, the onions and tomatoes are cooked to perfection and the broth's flavors of lemon and spices are just the right mix.
Serve with  crusty warm bread to soak up all the wonderful juices.

Ingredients
!/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons Greek seasonings
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 pounds cubed beef stew meat or
   boneless beef chuck meat
2 tablespoon olive oil
2 cups of fat-free, reduced-sodium beef broth
2 onions, each cut into 8 wedges
1 container grape or cherry tomatoes
1 jar (8 ounces) kalamata olives, drained
10 fresh oregano leaves
1 lemon divided

1. Combine the flour, Greek seasoning, salt and pepper in a large  resealable food sorage bag. Add beef, shake to coat. Heat in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown beef on all sides. Transfer to crock pot slow cooker.

2. Add broth, onions, tomatoes, olives, 4 sprigs of oregano and juice of 1/2 lemon. Cover, cook on HIGH for 6 to 7 hours or until beef is tender. Cut remaining lemon in wedges and serve with stew. Garnish with remaining oregano sprigs.
