I love snacks, the saltier and spicier the better! If I could I would snack on buffalo wings and a big bag of jalapeño kettle chips. But since I shouldn't, Red - Lime Chile Roasted Chickpeas are a delicious alternative. Bursting with flavor, this snack is a low calorie, high in protein, and pairs beautifully with any cocktail.

Ingredients
2 (15-ounce) cans if chickpeas,
rinsed and drained
1 1/2 teaspoons olive oil or
canola oil
Freshly grated zest of 1 lime
Juice of 1 lime
1 teaspoon chile powder
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon kosher salt, plus
more to taste
2 (15-ounce) cans if chickpeas,
rinsed and drained
1 1/2 teaspoons olive oil or

Freshly grated zest of 1 lime
Juice of 1 lime
1 teaspoon chile powder
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon kosher salt, plus
more to taste
Directions
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
In a medium bowl, combine the chickpeas, oil, lime zest, half the lime juice, plus the chile powder, cumin, and 1 teaspoon of salt. Spread the chickpeas in an even layer on a baking sheet.
Bake, shaking the pan every 10 minutes, until lightly golden brown and crisp, about 35 minutes.
Remove the pan from the oven and sprinkle the remaining lime juice on the chickpeas. Season with salt and serve.
