I was a teacher to sweet, energetic, and enthusiastic children in Mt. Kisco. Besides the children, what made this job such a pleasurable experience were the supportive, fun, and compassionate parents. Unfortunately the school closed, yet I feel so fortunate to have kept in touch with the families. Each and every family will hold a special place in my heart.
Crystal Hot Toddy is a cocktail from a kit given to me by one of the families from the school. Delicious and warm, this toddy warms and brightens even the bleakest of winter day. This kit is a wonderful gift; their friendship and kindness has been the best gift. So even when something dramatic happens, such as a school closing, there is always a silver lining...good friends and a hot toddy to warm the heart.

Ingredients
1 1/2 oz. good bourbon
1 serving DRAM Cascara Chai Tea
5 shakes DRAM Hair of the Dog Bitters
1 rock candy swizzle sticks

Directions
Place the tea bag into a coffee or toddy mug. Cover with the bourbon and allow it to "brew" while the water boils. Top with the hot water, add the DRAM bitters and garnish with the swizzle stick. The idea is to let the sugar crystals slowly dissolve in the concoction until the desired sweetness has been achieved.
