Mid-Winter Margarita

Spice up your evening with a Mid-Winter Margarita. This cocktail's beautiful citrus flavors along with the heat from the glass's spicy salted rim will warm up any winter night.

The Particulars

makes two drinks
3 shots of tequila
1 & 1/2 shots Cointreau
1 & 1/2  shots fresh lime juice
1 & 1/2 shots fresh grapefruit juice
2 slices of fresh lime to garnish - optional
Chile salt ( equal parts dried chiles
   and sea salt)

i. Combine the tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, and grapefruit juice in the shaker.
ii. Add ice to above the level of the liquid and shake vigorously for 15 seconds.
iii. Strain the mixture into chilled rocks glasses rimmed with chile salt and containing large cubes of ice. Garnish with lime slices, optional.
