On one of our first dates, Nick and I went to The West End Bar on the Upper West Side in Manhattan to listen to jazz. That night our cocktail of choice was a whiskey sour. After finishing his drink, Nick gave me his maraschino cherry. Knowing how much I loved maraschino cherries, I was touched by his sweet gesture. And that is why whiskey sours will always be one of my favorite cocktails.
