Deviled Egg Footballs

"Kick" off your Super Bowl party with this whimsical and delectable appetizer.

                                                                          Deviled Egg Footballs


Ingredients
6 large eggs
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
freshly ground white pepper
chives

Directions
Place eggs in a single layer in a saucepan. Add water to one inch above the eggs. Bring to a slow boil; cover and let stand 13 minutes.

Drain immediately and fill the saucepan with cold water, Peel the eggs under cold running water.

Slice eggs in half, lengthwise, and carefully remove yolks. Blend the yolks with the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Pipe or spoon the yolk mixture into egg whites. Garnish with chives to resemble football lacing.
