Maple Bourbon Pumpkin Pie
Ingredients
1 can solid-packed pumpkin
2 Tbsp. all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/8 tsp. ground cloves
3/4 cup sugar
1 Tbsp. unsalted butter, melted
1 cup half and half
2 Tbsp. bourbon
2 Tbsp. pure maple syrup
2 large eggs
2 unbaked pie shell, one for cutouts
Directions
2 Tbsp. all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/8 tsp. ground cloves
3/4 cup sugar
1 Tbsp. unsalted butter, melted
1 cup half and half
2 Tbsp. bourbon
2 Tbsp. pure maple syrup
2 large eggs
2 unbaked pie shell, one for cutouts
Directions
for the cutouts:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Place cutouts on a parchment-lined baking sheets and brush with egg whites. Bake until cutouts until golden brown, about 8-10 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
for the pie:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
Combine the first 12 ingredients in a large bowl. Stir to combine.. Pour into pie shell.
Bake at 425 for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 and continue to bake for 45 minutes, until the center is set.. Cool to room temperature. Decorate with cutouts from 2nd pie shell.
