Honey Goat Cheese Pizza
with Hazelnuts
Ingredients
pizza dough, homemade or store bought
1 tablespoon good quality olive oil
1/3 cup ricotta cheese
4 ounces goat cheese, crumbled
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup toasted hazelnuts, chopped
3/4 teaspoon granulated garlic
3 tablespoons honey
crushed red pepper flakes
sea salt
Directions
If using a pizza stone, position an oven rack at the lower of the oven and place pizza stone on rack. Heat oven to 450 degrees F. Do not place pizza stone in a preheated oven, it will crack. If using a pizza pan, brush pan with olive oil.
Brush olive oil over pizza crust to prevent it from becoming soggy. Top with 3 tablespoons of ricotta. Spread the ricotta in a thin layer across the crust. Sprinkle 1 cup mozzarella on top of the ricotta.
Place crumbled goat cheese on top of mozzarella. Drop teaspoons of ricotta over the pizza. Sprinkle garlic granules and toasted hazelnuts over pizza. Top with remaining mozzarella cheese. Bake 10-15 minutes, until crust is golden brown and cheese is melted.
Drizzle honey over top of pizza and sprinkle with crushed red pepper flakes and sea salt.
