Ingredients
12 ounces spaghetti
1 pound ground beef, turkey, or plant based meat such as beyond meat
1/2 cup finely chopped  yellow onion
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/4 teaspoon cayenne, optional for heat
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/3 cup finely chopped red bell pepper
2 - 14 ounce cans fire-roasted tomato sauce
1/4 cup black olives, sliced
1 cup shredded Mexican blend cheese
1/2 cup finely chopped cilantro

Directions
Bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente.

While the pasta is cooking, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook ground meat or plant-based meat and onions until meat is brown and onions are soft and translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in tomato sauce, red bell peppers,  garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, cumin, salt, pepper, and black olives. Cook until well combined, about 5 minutes.

Drain the spaghetti and add to the skillet. Toss to combine. Garnish with cilantro and cheese.
